Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to use helveticfidelity.com, whatever device, browser or assistive technology they use.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA. The site hasn’t been audited by an independent accessibility expert yet, so this statement reflects our own testing.
What we’ve built in
- Keyboard: every link, button and form field works with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline and a “Skip to content” link at the top of each page.
- Screen readers: headings, landmarks and form fields are labelled; the app screens shown on the page have text alternatives; form errors and status messages are announced.
- Motion: animations play once and stop. The background video has a pause button and doesn’t start if you’ve asked your device to reduce motion; with that setting, other animations are switched off too.
- Zoom and small screens: text can be enlarged to 200% and the layout reflows down to 320 pixels wide without sideways scrolling.
- Colour: text colours are chosen for WCAG AA contrast, information never relies on colour alone, and the site works with Windows contrast themes (forced colours).
- Language: each page declares its language, so screen readers pronounce it correctly.
- Without JavaScript: all content is readable; only joining the waitlist needs JavaScript, for a quick bot check.
Known limitations
- The bot check on the waitlist form (Cloudflare Turnstile) normally runs invisibly. If it asks you to solve a challenge you can’t complete, email us and we’ll help you join.
- The background video on large screens is decorative: it has no sound, and everything it shows is also in the text.
- We haven’t yet tested every combination of browser and screen reader. If something doesn’t work for you, please tell us.
Compatibility
The site is built with standard HTML and should work with current versions of Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, and with screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA, JAWS and TalkBack.
Feedback and contact
If you find a barrier on this site, or need any of its content in another format, write to us at hello@helveticfidelity.com. Please tell us the page and what went wrong; we’ll get back to you as soon as we can.
